What are the strengths that distinguish a great leader? Being able to articulate personal values, talents, contributions, and vision is the cornerstone of self-leadership. Leadership requires not just learning leadership skills, but examining and transforming the inner self. It requires insight into who we are as leaders and a process by which to live our leadership philosophy.

Leading from Within is a unique one-day workshop that explores the challenges of leadership. It provides participants with the tools and strategies to enhance their personal effectiveness, examine their leadership approach, share their leadership philosophy, develop a personal vision for leadership, and create a map to track their leadership integrity It equips them to be better leaders.

Program Overview

Leading from Within begins with a personal assessment by each participant of his or her own leadership principles, courage, and actions. Participants then start the process of discovering and stating their own leadership qualities in terms of purpose, values, distinctions, and vision. Developing strategies for acting on these qualities enables participants to turn their vision of leadership into action. They will learn to leverage who they are as a leader and how to contribute greater value.

Leadership Courage

Leadership Courage focuses on developing an awareness of how to practice courage. Participants learn where to look for signals that guide their behavior. They complete a Courage Profile that helps them define their leadership style on the Courage Continuum.

Leadership Purpose

Leadership Purpose defines the essential quality of leadership: purpose. It helps participants discover what influences their purpose as a leader and brings clarity to their own purpose statement.

Leadership Values

A value exists if the leader consistently acts on or demonstrates what the value stands for. Leadership Values helps participants identify their unique leadership values and develop operating principles for walking their talk.

Leadership Distinctions

In Leadership Distinctions, participants complete a profile to understand what distinguishes them as leaders. They identify their strengths and areas for increasing their abilities as leaders.

Leadership Vision

Leadership Vision helps participants develop a personal vision for their leadership, their organization, and their people, and determine the factors critical to their success. They also determine their personal Board of Directors who will provide guidance in achieving this vision.

Mapping

Leading from Within is a discovery process. It helps participants define who they are as leaders. Outcomes are referenced on a map that declares their intentions and contributes to sustaining the commitments made.
