Creating Team Mastery is a unique workshop designed to help teams attain shared responsibility, keep effectiveness and achieve alignment in order to become high-performing teams.

To stay on top of contemporary business issues such as globalization, innovation, service, quality, and competitiveness, organizations need highly effective teams–people who can lead themselves, adapt and grow, and who share a common purpose. Creating Team Mastery provides the process for teams to achieve even greater levels of performance.

Creating Team Mastery focuses on strategic unity. It increases the communication and effectiveness of teams through alignment strategies. In this two-day workshop featuring exercises, assessments, and a unique team-building tool called the Team Map, participants learn how to become a self-directed team. Because the process is uniquely customized for participants, teams will focus on those issues critical to their ability to work effectively together.

Program Overview

Creating Team Mastery helps teams build understanding, open communications, and create alignment strategies to achieve higher levels of performance. Designed specifically for teams to experience together, it moves the team members through a unique team-building system, the Team Map, as a way to put to work the principles of effective collaboration.

Team Profile

In this unit the team creates a team profile to identify how it is currently operating along ten key scales. The group receives the scales, discusses differences, and determines as a group how they can work more effectively together.

Team Purpose

This unit addresses the question, "Why do we as a team exist?" By aligning to this question, the team can develop a clearer sense of why it is working together and how it can add value in meeting customer requirements.

Team Values

The values of the team are core to the teamÕs ability to work effectively as a group. In this unit team members examine the beliefs they hold as individuals and as a group. These are translated into the operating principles they will consistently act on.

Team Vision and Imperatives

In this unit members work together to develop a desired future–a success scenario that all team members can sign up for and commit to. This vision helps the team define where it wants to go and the imperatives necessary to get there.

Team Talents

In this unit team members identify their own strengths and motivations. The team, in turn, works on matching the talents of the members to needs of the team, thereby leveraging all of the teamÕs contributions and effectiveness.

Commitment to Outcomes

The team uses the map it creates to define its goals and action plan. This unit helps the team develop follow-up strategies to move this plan into actionable activities in a way that reinforces synergy and effective collaboration.
